US District Court Judge Cameron M Currie ruled Westinghouse Savannah River Co must pay more than 165000 in legal fees and court costs after a whistleblower suit by Edwin P Harrison, a former General Physics Corp employee at Savannah River Site. The seven year battle ended with a jury verdict upholding Harrison’s claims of false certification and improper subcontracting related to a waste disposal project. The order assigns 155910 in legal fees and 9994 in costs to Harrison’s lawyers. 58500 to Harrison and the rest to the DOE.
