Rabid fox attacks two near North Augusta
A rabid fox attacked two people near North Augusta on July 20, the South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control announced. The fox tested positive the next day, marking one of several rabies exposures statewide this year. Raccoons skunks foxes and bats are primary carriers. adults should avoid wild and stray animals and contact trained officials if exposure is suspected.

SRR interns aid community through Project Vision effort
SRR interns from Savannah River Remediation volunteered in Aiken County to build a wooden deck and wheelchair ramp for a resident in Jackson. Led by United Way of Aiken County, the project also involved pruning trees damaged by a recent storm and provided learning through hands on construction.
