SRS Hosts First Meeting Of Training Committee
The Savannah River Site will host the first meeting of the Maintenance Training Subcommittee of the Southeastern States Nuclear Training Association on Thursday and Friday. Supervisors from twelve organizations will discuss on the job training, maintenance supervision, mockups, and training aids. In May 1990 SRS was accepted as an associate SSNTA member, expanding a group that had been exclusive to commercial nuclear sites. Leo Sain, reactor training manager, said SSNTA membership provides valuable information exchange and feedback to improve SRS reactor training.

Hospital upgrades eight bed ICU for surgical and neuro patients
The hospital announces an eight bed intensive care unit now available for surgical and neurological patients and other serious illnesses. An overhaul converted a former waiting area into the new ICU on the fourth floor. The update took about six weeks. Betsy Griffing and Cathy Donahue are cited in the communications.
