Aiken Tech radiologic technology program class graduates
The first Health Sciences radiologic technology class at Aiken Technical College earned accreditation after a two year effort. Twenty graduates received certificates and pins with Lindsay Wyant named valedictorian and Candace Kay winning the Outstanding Student Clinical Award.

North Augusta police logged multiple incidents. A July 14 traffic stop on Belvedere Road led to possession charges after finding a brown leafy substance and unlabeled pill in a blue Ford Ranger. Other July 14 events include speeding and driving without a license, stolen plate and open container charges, and a DUS second offense after a gold SUV fled a checkpoint. A Stanton Drive report noted two men fleeing, James Street break-in unlocked Grand Cherokee with a laptop, quarters, and a cell phone stolen. July 13 shoplifting of white ladies shoes and forged checks totaling 1600 dollars were reported.

Aiken resident wins national Curves Got Milk contest
Aiken resident Janice Harmon won a national contest sponsored by Curves and the Got Milk campaign for a 24 month free Curves membership. The 24 ounces in 24 hours campaign drew 24 winners after a 24 day online contest. Harmon has worked out six months losing inches, and plans to continue three visits weekly.
