Virginia teen loses fight to treat cancer his way

A Virginia juvenile court judge ordered 16 year old Abraham Cheri to report to Children’s Hospital of the King’s Daughters in Norfolk by 1 p.m. Tuesday for testing and treatment as doctors deem necessary. The ruling upheld prior custody terms and found the parents neglectful for allowing an alternative treatment path through a Mexican clinic. Stepanovich said he would seek a higher court stay and that the family has 10 days to appeal.
