Martin Color Fi Acquires Itself Anew Through DSP Buyout
Martin Color-Fi announced Thursday that it has been purchased by an investment group led by DSP. The Edgefield founded firm, known for recycled polyester fibers, will retain its name and about 550 employees as operations are streamlined. The change funds growth while maintaining existing customer focus and product lines in polyester fiber, synthetic yarn, pigments, and additives.

Drought prompts drought area changes in South Carolina

Contaminated Roach Found at Savannah River Site Lab
SRS workers reported a radiated cockroach in a research lab on July 6. A spokeswoman said the cesium-244 dose did not threaten the discoverer’s health. The roach contaminated a tester’s shoes and likely entered a highly contaminated shielded cells area through a floor grate.
