Bargain Palace Helps Needy Kids With Free School Clothes
The Bargain Palace in New Ellenton run by Jason and Kim Rentz offers free clothing and furniture for children in need. Sister-in-law Christy Craig notes the store will limit outfits to five per child to ensure many benefit. The shop will be air conditioned this year and open Wednesday to Friday 10 am to 5 pm and Saturday 10 am to 2 pm.

Patriots stitched by Carolina Pine Quilt Guild in aid effort
The Carolina Pine Quilt Guild held a Saturday work day to craft patriotic quilts for the Wounded Warrior Project and Fisher House on Fort Gordon using the Flags of Valor pattern. Participants assembled 88 kits and many brought sewing machines to Millbrook Baptist Church to top stitch quilts and prepare them for distribution while pledging ongoing support for Fisher House.
