Train Museum showcases 1916 Southern Railway diorama display
The City of Aiken Visitors Center unveils a detailed diorama recreating 135.7 miles of the Southern Railway from Charleston to Hamburg in 1916. Built by Custom Model Railroads in Baltimore over two and a half years with $200,000 raised through donations, the exhibit reflects extensive research led by Don Barnes.

The 2010 reexamined Upper Three Runs Creek using the same methods as the 1970s work that found over 500 species and 120 caddisflies.
