Flavors range from peaches Vidalia onion to aged gourmet with bolder options Lake of Fire and Good & Evil. Bennett turned peppers into a business after needing a use for excess peppers.

Palmetto Parkway funding moves forward with federal support

Rep Gresham Barrett announced that the House Transportation Subcommittee approved four million dollars for the second phase of the Palmetto Parkway extending Interstate 520 into North Augusta. The plan would run through North Augusta to Interstate 20 with additional funding possible in later years. Barrett noted the need for full House and Senate approval and said he would seek Senate support with Sen Lindsey Graham.

Charges Possible in Fatal Gaffney Crash

The South Carolina Highway Patrol may seek charges after a two car crash late Saturday near Whiskey and Powderhouse roads in Gaffney. Edith Bishop, 65, a passenger in Ruth Thompson’s 70 year old Lincoln Town Car, died. A 16 year old female driver of a van and a teenage driver were among those injured.
