Energy Employees Compensation Center to Open in North Augusta
The Energy Employees Compensation Center will open July 26 at the Bunting Drive and Martini Town Road intersection in North Augusta to help past and present Savannah River Site workers file claims under the Energy Occupational Illness Compensation Act. The act provides a $150,000 lump sum and illness benefits for cancer from radiation, chronic beryllium disease, and chronic silicosis, with survivor eligibility. The center operates 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday. call 279-2728 or 1-866-666-4606 for schedules.
