Mourning Signs Multiyear Deal With Nets Worth 22 Million
Alonzo Mourning agreed to a four year contract around 22 million with the New Jersey Nets on Wednesday. He chose New Jersey citing the chance to play with Jason Kidd and pursue an NBA title. Mourning, a seven time All Star, missed the 2002 03 season due to kidney ailment but Nets officials expect his health to support the move. The Nets aim to bolster inside play after two straight trips to the NBA Finals ended in losses to the Lakers and Spurs.
