Titusville Florida a year after NASA ended the shuttle program thousands of former engineers and workers still seek new careers. Some move to South Carolina for aviation jobs or Afghanistan for government contracting while others take lower paying work. Terry White recalls earnings near six figures but now faces slim prospects and high fuel costs. More than 7400 lost jobs when the shuttle ended last July and Brevard County sees shuttle contractor positions drop as the space center employs about 8500 workers, the smallest in over 35 years.
