Granddad of flattened rails derails Amtrak freight in Batavia
Ten crew members were injured when a Conrail freight train derailed a mail car wheel struck a flattened rail in Batavia New York. NTSB investigator Cy Gura said a wheel momentarily left the track and landed off center causing the derailment.
