Virgin Mary Cross Vies for Hill in California Believers Rally
Believers in Santa Maria claim the Virgin Mary asked for a cross on a hill overlooking the city. The project, supported by locals and even some professionals, faces opposition from landowners and safety concerns along Highway 166. The effort began after Mary reportedly spoke to Carol and Charlie Nole in 1988, with plans unfolding in 1988 and ongoing devotion despite hurdles.
