Vernon Sox Jr. dies. longtime Augusta area leader and athlete
Vernon Lee Sox Jr. died July 8 2017 in Augusta GA aged 86. He was a former Dupont supervisor and community leader active in Our Redeemer Lutheran Church. He leaves a daughter son and step-children, 11 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, and two great great grandchildren. A memorial service is July 14 at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church. Memorials to the church are requested.
