Six killed on area roads in July
A fatal two vehicle crash on Edgefield Highway near Bethel Church Road in Aiken County killed three people and left three others injured. Coroner Tim Carlton identified victims Tyler Price 32 Zoel Boatwright 20 and Andrew D Sanders 22 as the deceased with three others Corona Putnam and Shanna Ard seriously injured. Sanders was the northbound driver crossed the center line and caused the head on collision. Toxicology results are pending.

I-20 Bridge Project Up for Public Discussion

Aiken residents hear downtown redevelopment plans
Residents packed the Aiken Municipal Building for a downtown redevelopment forum. City officials outlined a three part proposal to relocate services to a renamed City Hall, remodel the Municipal Building for retail, sell the Laurens Street services building, and add a parking deck with private retail.
