Rev. E Michael Rowell named rector at St Thaddeus Aiken
The vestry of St Thaddeus Episcopal Church in Aiken has called Rev. E Michael Rowell to be rector in charge. He currently serves St Patrick's in Albany Georgia, with prior posts in Vidalia Florida Jacksonville Florida. Rowell and wife Amy will move to Aiken in early August and live in the Spring Drive home previously used by Father Shahan. Their children Charlie and Margaret will attend Mead Hall. Senior warden Bill Townsend says the long search is finally over and thanks the search committee.

Windsor man 27 died on arrival after a tractor-trailer struck him on U S 25. He landed on a copperhead that bit him multiple times on the chest. The truck driver was uninjured and a hit and run suspect vehicle was sought.
