Nuclear plant costs rise delay threaten U S nuclear revival
AP review shows Vogtle Watts Bar and Summer plants facing licensing delays, higher costs and schedule slips. Vogtle now over eight hundred million beyond budget with first reactor late from 2016. Watts Bar costs up to two billion more. Summer faces about six hundred seventy million more as it aims for 2017 first reactor and 2018 second reactor.
