Boy Lost Three Days Found Safe With Dogs Near Portland
A 3 year old spent two nights lost in forest with three dogs as companions and walked to a police post asking for a cookie, probably saved by canines sleeping beside him through a 40 degree night. About 300 people searched after he vanished Friday, emerging with the dogs Sunday noon three miles southeast of Portland. The boy said he planned a pretend fishing trip, parents thought he was playing in the backyard. Norton, an emergency physician, said he was hungry with wet feet but stable. he spent the afternoon at the hospital before discharge.
