Woman Is Charged With Shooting Husband

Beatrice Croft of 143 Redd St in Aiken is charged with attempting to kill her husband after a shooting incident. Police say the 33 year old woman fired a gun at her spouse, and she was taken into custody.

Weather Forecast Prompt Indicates Warm Period Ahead

Reactor Startup Delayed Again at Savannah River Plant

The Department of Energy extends the L-Reactor restart at SRP to mid 1985 after delays for a 1000 acre cooling lake. Estimated cost up to 35 million, six to nine month hold, with environmental suits and EIS requirements cited. Lake will cool discharges via embankment across Steel Creek to meet water standards.
