Circus Flora to aid drought-hit farmers with charity show
The St. Louis based Circus Flora plans a one night charity performance to raise 20 000 to 30 000 for Midwest farmers hurt by crop drought. Spokesman Joshua Leeds says the show will feature high wire trapeze acts stunt riders clowns and trained animals. The drought forced higher hay costs as a bale rose from 1 to 5, affecting Flora the seven year old elephant after a hay shortage.
