Nancy Ann Corley and Larry Odell Bodie wed at Levels Baptist Church with a large Aiken family presence. The bride’s father gave her away. Dr. Marshall E. Barnett officiated. The Bodie family plans residence in Anderson. The second couple, Janet Marilyn White and Michael Jule Mundy, married at Couchton Baptist Church with Rev. George Koon presiding. The couple will honeymoon in Atlanta.
Valerie Ann Brown and John Carlton Cox were wed June 24 at Pierce Memorial United Methodist Church in Augusta. The groom is son of Elizabeth Bledsoe and Carl W. Cox of Aiken. bride’s parents are Hildyer Eugene Brown Jr. and his wife of Augusta. The ceremony was by Rev. Alfred Key with several local family members as attendants. A church reception followed and the couple plan to live in Aiken after a mountain honeymoon. Mrs. Cox works for K Mart. Mr. Cox works at the Savannah River Plant.
Janice Eve Pruett and Charles Leonard Henshaw Jr repeated their marriage vows at Millbrook Baptist Church Chapel with Rev. James Rivers officiating. Pruett, daughter of Hilton and Mrs. Pruett, was given in marriage by her father. Henshaw, son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Henshaw, both of Aiken. The ceremony featured matron of honor Mrs. Thomas Brown Jr and bridesmaid Mrs. Richard Powell of Wichita Texas. Best man was the groom’s father and groomsman Andrew Henshaw, the groom’s brother. The couple planned a Kiawah Island wedding trip after a church reception. Mrs. Henshaw is an Aiken High School graduate. the groom holds a B.A. from USC and works for the Augusta Herald.
Elaine and her husband of 14 years with five children worry about her therapy group activities. Elaine attended meetings with another man, returning at 1:30 a.m., and accepted a dinner invite from another group member. The husband questions the behavior as a threat to marriage. Catherine Moody daughter of Mr and Mrs Daniel W Moody of Jackson has graduated from Navy Recruit Training Command Orlando Florida She is a Jackson High School graduate and former NJROTC member Airman Betty A Taylor has been assigned to Shaw Air Base after basic training at Lackland Air Base She is daughter of Eleanor K Ricketson of Augusta Her brother Jack E Horsford resides in North Augusta She previously completed basic training at Lackland AFB and is now assigned to Shaw AFB
