The eight mill plan sets a $7,498,034 budget. the six mill plan lowers it to $7,362,034. Residents protested salary freezes and cuts to the Council on Aging as budget talks concluded.
Twenty eight Aiken area children aged 3 to 5 completed a two week program run by USC Aiken graduate students. The preschool featured free choice activities and structured field trips while giving students hands on planning experience and aims to become an annual campus program.
