Charleston mayor blames Beasley over Cooper River bridges plan

In Columbia the Infrastructure Bank board required Charleston to provide a larger local match for the Cooper River bridge project. The plan seeks a state majority funding with a $68 million local share, $312 million from the bank, for a $420 million total. Sen. Ravenel opposed the revised terms and threatened to yank the application while noting election-year urgency.
