Windsor man captured after deputy assault in Aiken County
Wesley Hopper of Windsor was charged with first degree assault and battery and resisting arrest with assault after a traffic stop escalated. A manhunt lasting over five hours ended with Hopper detained in the Windsor area as deputies and state agencies joined the search. The deputy sustained non life threatening injuries and was taken to a local hospital.

Registration for the 14th annual Mended Hearts golf tournament is underway at the Preserve Club Woodside Plantation with a 9 30 a m start on Sept 21. The four person captain s choice format includes a putting contest and a $240 fee covers golf cart lunch gifts and range balls.
