Traffic stop yields drugs guns six arrests in Gloverville
A Thursday traffic stop in Gloverville led to six arrests and the seizure of an assault rifle, a semi automatic handgun, magazines, ammunition, cash and drugs. Suspects include Kenneth James Monks II and Zachary Monks with multiple weapon and narcotics charges. two teens and two women were detained and cited. Investigators recovered cash and medications along with weapon magazines and seized narcotics. Police urge tips to the Aiken County Sheriff's Office or Crime Stoppers of the Midlands.

Two SRS Reactors Sealed Marking In Situ Decommissioning
Officials at the Savannah River Site sealed access to two aging reactors P and R after a 250 million Recovery Act project. P operated 1954 1988 and R 1953 1964. both were decommissioned in place with grout and concrete. The effort began in 2009 with 125 million per reactor and aims to close P and R areas for future missions.
