Bakker Eyes Tax Inquiry as Grand Jury Targeted
U S Justice Department will impanel a grand jury in Columbia to hear allegations of tax fraud against the PTL ministry led by Jim Bakker. The probe may include income tax, wire and mail fraud with possible indictments after evidence is reviewed. Bakker's attorney Melvin Belli says his client welcomes any tax inquiry.
