Drapes Hide DOJ Statues in Great Hall After Ashcroft Photo Concerns
The Justice Department installed permanent blue drapes costing about 8,000 dollars to cover two aluminum art deco statues in the Great Hall after reports that Attorney General Ashcroft avoided being photographed with the nude female figure. Department spokesman Shane Hix says the drapes serve as a television backdrop and will stay up for formal events.
