Walker Memorial Youth Hunt brings healing after tragedy

The first Walker Lloyd Memorial Youth Hunt in Tennessee brought together ten youths, many from a church baseball team, to honor William Walker. Organizer Mrs. Walker oversaw land preparation with nine shooter houses and food plots near the Mississippi Tennessee line. Seven deer were killed, two were missed, and one hunter did not see a deer. Walker’s brother Lee and Brandon Henson, 14, each tagged five-pointers, marking an emotional recovery for the family. Walker’s mother recalls facing the loss after initial denial and hopes the story offers hope to others in similar grief.
