Bridgestone plant to shift to 24 hour operation

Bridgestone Firestone will switch its 1.6 million square foot manufacturing plant near Graniteville to a 24 hour full rotation starting February 1. The Aiken County facility currently runs a day shift producing light truck and passenger car tires not destined for the market while analysts complete tire testing at the site. Public affairs officer Mary McLaughlin confirms the plant will run around the clock once the change takes effect.

Regatta to draw over 1 000 rowers in Langley Pond event
