Greenwood County sheriff reports say Jill Moore a Ware Shoals High cheer coach supplied alcohol to students and had sex with them at a motel with National Guardsman Sgt Thomas Fletcher and Sgt Jeremy Pileggi while principal Jane Blackwell faces obstruction charges.

Diocese sets aside 12 million for sex abuse claims
The Charleston Diocese announces a class action settlement designating up to 12 million dollars to compensate abuse victims in South Carolina. Victims could receive 10 000 to 200 000 dollars with spouses and parents getting 20 000. An arbitrator will validate claims and determine payouts as part of a two pool structure totaling 12 million.

Drug dealer convicted of running drugs through port
Jeffeth Donaldson-Pinilla 41 of New York and Panama was convicted by a federal jury of conspiring to import and possess cocaine with intent to distribute after a night at the Port of Charleston. A longshoreman testified against him and a container bolt cutter was found in his car. Sentencing scheduled in about 90 days.
