Wyoming Woman Reclaims WWII Class Ring After 71 Years

Betty McAleenan received her Fremont County high school class ring in a ceremony at Lander American Legion Hall. The ring belonged to her late husband Army Staff Sgt. Robert Greibel, a B 17 gunner killed in 1943 over Rabaul. Grief and memory span decades as remains were identified through DNA testing and repatriated long after the war.
