Silver Bluff Road project delayed by utility relocations

SCDOT resumed work on the Silver Bluff Road corridor upgrade after a long hold due to relocating gas lines in Hartwell Road area. Project Manager Mike Hayes of Eagle Construction said four gas services must be lowered before completing storm water drainage near a new retention pond at Woodside Executive Court.

Boxing academy opens doors in North Augusta

North Augusta welcomes the North Augusta Boxing Academy and Fitness a nonprofit at 636 East Buena Vista Ave. Co founders Cherae Talbert and Nicholas Lyons describe hard work pace as they opened after a year of planning. Mayor Bob Pettit praised the effort and Paul Williams former world champion attended as a guest speaker highlighting perseverance and community mentoring through boxing.
