Kimberly-Clark to cut up to five thousand jobs in cost drive
Kimberly-Clark plans to cut as many as 5,500 jobs or 13 percent of its workforce as demand for diapers and tissues falls amid lower U.S. birth rates. The Dallas based maker of Huggies and Kleenex will close or sell about 10 manufacturing plants and exit some low margin businesses while pursuing $1.7 to $1.9 billion in restructuring charges.
