City tests new rainwater filtration system near marsh
In Mount Pleasant a recycling system using 25 gallon plastic cubes embedded under a supermarket parking lot filters storm water before it reaches the marsh. The Rain store3 system diverts runoff into cubes wrapped with fabric and sand to percolate into the ground, reducing pollutants and avoiding dredging ponds.
