Saint Liam captured the 2005 Horse of the Year honor with 194 first place votes to 56 for Afleet Alex. Georgia and Federal Seize Hundreds of Turtles in GA
Georgia and federal authorities seized more than 450 turtles from an Atlanta area individual last July in one of the largest turtle seizures in Georgia history. Most were map turtles some federally or state listed as rare threatened or endangered. Two species went to Zoo Atlanta while the rest were moved to the Savannah River Ecology Laboratory at the University of Georgia for care and secure housing.
