Why is skim milk blue and how to adjust taste
Nutrition expert David Chance explains that skim milk often appears blue due to carotenoids in milk fat and light scattering after fat removal. color can also vary with cow diet season and breed. For easier transition, consider 2 percent milk first, then 1 percent or skim, noting vitamins are added back after fat removal and advising patience as taste adapts.
