Edgefield Courthouse to be Restored With Federal Funds
The Edgefield County Courthouse designed by Robert Mills will receive 25000 dollars in federal historic preservation funds. The money was allocated to South Carolina for 1977 1978 by the Interior Department and administered by the State Archives department. After restoration the courthouse will house county offices.

Aiken Council Approves EDI Wastewater Study for Park
The Aiken City Council approved a contract with Environmental Dynamics Inc. for a two week study on expanding the wastewater facility in the Aiken Verenes industrial park to add capacity for Beloit Manhattan and Beecham Inc. The plan includes future mirror imaging to double plant capacity and seeks federal funds.
