Burglary and Assault Reported in Aiken County
Jewelry stolen in a Robinson Street burglary with forced entry noted by deputies. Aiken man allegedly broke into a family member’s bedroom and menaced victims with a large knife threatening to shoot them. Suspect also accused of vandalizing a car by breaking windows and flattening tires. Other incidents include a burglary on Croft Mill Road and items stolen from a George Street residence. A 73-year-old woman says she was assaulted by a 33-year-old woman with facial blows and a breast bite.

Fourth Bank of America robbery suspect identified in North Augusta
North Augusta detectives identified Anthony Martin as the gunman in the April 23 Bank of America robbery. Martin, linked to firearms during a violent crime, is held in DeKalb County awaiting extradition. A kidnapping investigation in North Augusta involves a 30 year old woman who was forced into her car by an armed man.
