Charles Odum aged 48 died at his Graniteville home after a period of ill health. He is survived by his mother, sisters, and brothers. Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at the local cemetery.

Mrs. Lillie Posey Dies at Graniteville After Illness

Mrs. Lillie E Posey 40 wife of J M Posey of Graniteville died at home Monday night after a year long illness. Senator Williams bill targets state highway funds for road loans

Senator Ashton Williams of Florence introduced a bill to force counties to spend half of their state gasoline tax receipts on paying debts for hard surfaced cross country roads. Counties not using the program would see their two cent gasoline tax revenue stay in the state treasury, as the aim is a statewide improved road system.
