Bates of Jackson Killed in Georgia Road Crash
James Bates, 18, of Jackson, was instantly killed in an auto motorcycle collision on Ellenton road about 15 miles from Augusta on the Georgia side Monday night. His cousin John Bates was injured when the sidecar bicycle collided with a car driven by T. J. McNamara of Savannah. Death came from a fractured skull.
