At the Medical College of Georgia a hospital employee handling organ procurement was reassigned after a nurse misread a donor chart leading to a heart from a Type B donor being transplanted into Major Wright, a Type O recipient from Sylvania, now in critical but stable condition at University Hospital. The college declined to identify the employee.
