Museum Outgrowing Facility Moves to Banksia in Aiken
The Aiken County Historical Museum plans a shift from its current site at South Boundary and New Cherry Streets to Banksia, adjacent to the public library. The move follows the facility’s crowding and a December approval of a Planning Task Force to repurpose Banksia, with goals to expand exhibits and programs for county history including the Savannah River Plant and textile industry.
