Bluebird Society Adds 25 Nest Boxes in Hitchcock Woods
The South Carolina Bluebird Society completed installation of 25 new bluebird nest boxes in Hitchcock Woods near the South Boundary entrance. The project adds to 91 existing bluebird boxes along with 12 screech owl and two prothonotary warbler boxes, helping habitat amid thinning trees and old development. Representatives from Hitchcock Woods Foundation and the South Carolina Department of Natural Resources assisted in the effort.
