Man to Serve Life for Murder in Aiken County
Herbert Sullivan, 27, pleads guilty to the Sept 19 1982 murder of Elisha Gantt 73, and is sentenced to life in prison in Aiken County Criminal Court. Gantt was shot with a .22 caliber rifle in his home. Another verdict finds Bill Currie 19 guilty of housebreaking and larceny for a July 29 robbery at S&S Supply Co. He gets seven years with suspended terms and probation along with restitution.
