Student detained for malicious injury to property on bus
A 16 year old student was detained after admitting to cutting a school bus seat and revealing a 3.5 inch lock blade. He was questioned on school property and charged with malicious injury to property and carrying a weapon.
Zaxbys Replacing BBQ Barn in Aiken County
Aiken prepares for a second Zaxbys near USC Aiken replacing the BBQ Barn once at 130 University Parkway. The 3850 square foot restaurant will seat 66 and demolition is underway with no completion date set. Zaxbys already operates at 1725 Whiskey Road and North Augusta expanded last month.

North Augusta Public Safety reports Marsha Busbee 33 of Cemetery Road was detained after a traffic stop at The Groves apartments. Officers found methamphetamine tubes a syringe with methamphetamine, meth bags and cash over 600 dollars along with marijuana and prescription drugs. Busbee faces trafficking methamphetamine possession charges and is jailed in Aiken County.
