Forestry Commission discussed roles and timber health in South Carolina
S C Forester John Miller told about 15 Aiken AMBACS members the Forestry Commission's task with fire towers in the past and current roles. He noted project managers handle controlled burning, county foresters serve the public, and foresters work with user groups to maintain trails. The agency seeds and replants, producing about 18 million seedlings annually from its Trenton nursery to balance harvesting and replanting.
