Hidden Threads of Survival in Austrian Escape Tales
Leitner uncovers family histories of escape from Austria before Nazi lockdowns, detailing visas secured for Gretel Zellermayer Stolz and the rescue by Ignaz Duerr who sheltered Zellermayer. The narrative follows business partner Hans Garten, their U S ties, and a secret room that safeguarded a Jewish burial, leading to a planned book about their ancestors.
