One Dead in North Augusta Shooting at Ridgeview Manor
An early morning shooting at Ridgeview Manor Apartments off Bradleyville Road left Donnie Lee Brooks Jr. dead at 2:45 a.m. A juvenile was shot in the foot and transported to Georgia Regents Medical Center. No other injuries reported. SCLEDis assisting local police.

Nails found in pool raise damage fears in Aiken county
A North Augusta woman reported nails in her backyard pool on Old Edisto Drive Saturday raising concerns of a puncture as water level appeared low. An officer could not confirm a leak or damage from the nails. A Columbia man said $186.29 was charged to his credit card without permission at a Warrenville grocery. A Warrenville man reported a burglary on Front Street. A North Augusta man said another North Augusta man kicked a door on Crestlyn Drive during an argument leaving dents and a broken area.

Burglary and theft reports in North Augusta area
A North Augusta man reported a missing speaker after an unlocked residence visit by a landlord from Trenton and another North Augusta man who had come to fix a burst pipe. A separate incident involved a purse stolen from an unlocked vehicle at Sprint Foods on Jefferson Davis Highway. Reports also covered damaged storage buildings on Dunbar Street with a break in and a broken door handle, two inbackyard suspects described, and a Jackson man arrested for domestic assault on Janie Circle in Bath. Additional notes included removal of an air conditioning unit from a vacant Diamond Street home in Beech Island and a jewelry box found near Ascanga Lake Road after a break in. A Jackson man reported his camper stolen from Steinek Drive along with several unlocked vehicle doors nearby.
