Palace Malice plans 5-year old prep three eighths mile in January
Palace Malice, a finalist for the 2014 Eclipse Award for champion older male, will work three-eighths of a mile around Jan 24 and then again about a week later as he prepares for a return to Belmont Park. The horse is owned by Dogwood in partnership with Three Chimneys Farm and trained by Todd Pletcher. The Westchester Stakes moves to May 2, risking Derby-day conflicts with jockey availability. Palace Malice could race in New York or a nearby option if any scheduling clash arises.
